In past years, I have optimized some of the site who were more compelling and offers more to their customers than their competitors. Yet, they sold nothing because their search engine placement was below fifty with quotes and no wonder they are million miles away from their traffic.

5 Ways to Create a User-friendly Website that passes the SEO Filters:

Ø  Using Alt Tags for your Images:

Use Alt tag for images you use in your website but don’t forget to optimize them using both SEO long-tail and short-tail keywords. Using images makes your website user friendly but not search engine friendly. Thus, using Alt tags can help search engines locate and read your images which is very important. Furthermore, this can also facilitate search engines to display your images in the search results which will definitely take a moment of your visitors.

Ø  Loading Issue:

One of the big issues is the loading issue. If your page doesn’t open within 5 seconds than your visitors are surely going to click away and you don’t want that. But, in other hand if your website is not pleasing and little flashing it seems like you are just another guy from the old school. It is really hard to satisfy both the issues but there are ways. Optimize your heavy files and spread out your content neatly. Using text links will be more helpful than using graphic buttons.

And don’t use heavy graphics and flashes in your website and don’t be cunning with the spaces because heavy graphics and using flashes creates hindrances for search engine robots to crawl and kills your Search-Engine-Optimization (SEO) efforts. Give a little touch of everything that makes your website looks updated and if you need some more space then go for it but don’t try to manage. Slow loading pages really irritate visitors and if they are gone there is no way of coming back.

Ø  Using Codes:

HTML and CSS codes are used to standardize your web site. You can use them wisely to meet both search engine and users need. You can even use various websites to assist you to create codes in W3C standard.

Ø  Using Div tags instead of Tables:

Using Div tables for your website are fruitful and they are Search-Engine-Optimization (SEO) friendly too. Div tables consume less time to load and you can have total control over your layouts. But, the best part is when you want to change your designs in future Div tags are amazingly scalable. Furthermore, using nested tables are healthier than using cell merges and splits plus using separate tables when possible can minimize the load.

Ø  Background Images:

Many web designers focus on the beauty and flash that makes the site attractive and background images are also placed to add some more. But, it is something that is usually found underestimated. If you often surf in the internet then you must be familiar with what I am going to share here, many website apply beautiful background images but they when the content is added later, the combo creates a reading difficulty.
