Black Hat SEO is practicing and getting yourself involve in such optimizing techniques that simply breaks the search engines rules of optimization. Black hat search engine optimization were highly practiced when search engines were not advanced enough to detect such technical errors and SEO’s would simply do this to gain better ranking in the search result with less effort.

But, today search engines are very advanced and the even the consequence of involving in such optimization has very severe penalties like: delisting the website from the search engine index and banning your website forever.

Ø Black Hat on Text and Content:

Using the websites content for Black hat purposes was a widely used technique in past especially when search engines were not that advance to differentiate such faults. Search engine optimizers would accomplish this task by simply adding some extra keywords in their content and intentionally made it invisible for the readers but not for search engines.

A simply way of doing this was matching the text color with the background image/color of the page which would then make it impossible for human eyes to see the texts but search engines could still crawl those extra keywords and rank those websites better. The main motive of this technique was to add some more keywords in the content without making the content look over optimized or spam. But, search engines today can easily detect such errors and if found any website practicing such Black hat SEO then they is sure to get penalize.

Ø Black Hat on Websites:

Creating various websites with the same content was once found to be very effective for better ranking in search engines. SEO’s would simply create several websites with the same content everywhere and this helped them with huge traffic and good placement in the search results but later when such faulty practice was discovered this black hat trick which is also known as mirror websites was prohibited and is only limited in the list of Black Hat Optimization.

Ø Black Hat of Cloaking:

Cloaking is one of the best tools of black hat SEO and was used to deceive search engines for better ranking and placement. SEO’s would simply create a different page for search engines to spider and in the other hand the original page was for human. Practicing cloaking is a serious offense in search engine optimization and can simply ban your website for involving in such malpractices.

Ø Black Hat on Domain:

Black hat SEO’s was also practiced in the domains especially in old domains that are about to get expire or were outdated. Black hat SEO’s would buy such domains and later the link page of that expired page were uploaded to their own website which was found to offer better page ranks to their own website. But, this practice is not possible today because Google and other search engines simply reset the page rank of those domains that gets expired.

Black hat SEO’s were also involved in spinning the articles. This practice is although considered as a spam and duplicate content but earlier was a good Black hat technique. It involves copying contents and articles from someone else’s website and with replacing some words with their synonyms and posting them in their own website. Involving in such practices can delist you from the search engine index.

Ø Black Hat on Comments:

Black Hat on comments is simply making comments to various blogs. Some Black hat SEO’s still practice this when you get a comment in your post that makes no sense with the post that you have published. But, earlier such practice was huge and people even used software’s to post huge numbers of comment in various blogs. This is simply a spam generating practice and practicing such technique can simply lead your website to search engine penalties.

Ø Black Hat on Pages:

Black Hat minds did practiced creating extra pages for their website and later were named as a door way page. The main motive of this trick was to drive huge traffic unrelated traffic to the website. It is simply a practice of pulling traffic to your page no matter if they wish or not. Door way page are also known as portal pages and jump pages which is a prohibited by search engines and if found involved then search engines are likely to ban your website forever.
